The Lost Creek Preserve is a Present to Beauty creative project that slowly gathers nature photography, brief written observations, and reflective practice into a public, enduring record of relationship with Lost Creek. The project began on the 2026 Spring Equinox at The Lost Creek Hiking Trail in Chatfield, MN, the gateway to Bluff Country and the broader Driftless Region. The trail is cared for by the Bluff Country Hiking Club and is open to the public. Bring hiking shoes, an open mind, and a camera of any kind.
If you want to help the preserve grow, donations via Venmo are an option for patronage. From a distance, the Tamarack in Spring could easily be overlooked. But, look a little closer, and a mysterious world unfolds beyond the surface. The Lost Creek Hiking Trail is located in Chatfield, just 20 minutes south of Rochester, MN. Lost Creek is a 6.5-mile system in Chatfield and will become the official start of the MN Driftless Hiking Trail by the summer of 2026.
